Each year, I anxiously anticipate the gorgeous warm toned Fall beauty launches. Bobbi Brown is (in my opinion) the one brand that never disappoints! The brand (I can’t say “her brand” anymore as Bobbi left the brand in 2016) prides itself on creating classic, wearable formulas and shades for the modern woman. Because lets be honest…the modern woman more than likely isn’t spending two hours on her makeup each morning (or maybe she is, which in that case, get it girl!)
This year’s Fall collection contains warm, neutral smokey shades that are perfect to take you from day to night. The main focus of the collection is the insanely stunning Camo Luxe Eye and Cheek palette. It has 6 eye shades that I find are a really lovely combination of mattes and shimmers. I love that the brand is always thoughtful with their palettes and give you the options to create a very soft, minimal look and then also give you a shade or two to really amp things up for the evenings. I think the star of the palette is the incredible highlighting powder in “Warm Glow.” It has almost a marble effect to it and gives a multi dimension golden and bronzed glow. One can never go wrong with Bobbi’s highlighters!
They’ve gone for a really interesting theme this year with Camo Luxe. I, personally, love it! I think it is different and super chic. We haven’t seen anything like this yet from Bobbi or really any other brand recently so kudos to Bobbi’s team for creating a unique collection yet keeping it ultra chic and not overly trendy.
They released two shadows in the collection, Incandescent (left in photo) and Jungle (right in photo.) Both have a beautiful sheen and the sheen lasts throughout the entire pan of product (no annoying overlay that disappears after you use it once!)
I have a feeling that Incandescent will be a very popular pick from this collection as it gives the most gorgeous peachy/golden look. I find that any eyeshadow with a bit of peach instantly brightens up the eye and makes you look like you had a few extra hours of sleep, which is aways a bonus.
Jungle is such a fun shade and actually takes me back to the 90’s a bit and reminds me of an OLD Hard Candy loose shadow I used to own (back when the girls at Sephora wore the one back glove…anyone remember that? Just agree so I don’t feel old.) Both can be worn alone or on top of any of the shades in the Eye and Cheek palette although personally, I would save Jungle for a night time look as it really packs a bit of punch.
They released two shades of polish and they kindly sent over the shade “Camo.” Sticking with the “taupe” theme, this shade is a dark grey/taupe with a hint of rose shimmer. I think it will be such a fun shade to wear coming into the Fall months (or even Spring here in Australia) as I think a dark shade on the nails is so chic.
One of my favorite pieces from the new collection is the Forest Shimmer Ink Gel liner. I have used Bobbi’s gel liners for years and truly think that they can’t be beat. It is a dark green/black base with a hint of a golden sheen to it. I have brown/hazel eyes and it really brings out the gold in my eyes which I love! The sheen is so subtle and gives just a hint of something extra to the eye rather than looking like early 2000’s glitter liner.
There you have it! Another beautiful launch from Bobbi and an exciting array of warm, taupe shades to see you through into Autumn (or Spring!) I was SO excited (like, Christmas morning jumping up and down) when Bobbi’s Australian team so kindly sent over the collection and I couldn’t wait to share it with you!
