Best of 2018-My Favorite Products of the Year

Happy New Year my beautiful friends! 2018 was such a wonderful time of growth, experience and adventure. I can’t wait to see what this new year brings for each and every one of you! I have some exciting new things planned for my blog and Instagram in 2019 so make sure to keep a look out!

These are all new finds that I discovered in 2018 and have impressed me the most. We have endless options when it comes to choosing beauty products and one of my goals for 2019 is to become even more conscious with my purchases. I did pretty well in 2018 and didn’t go overboard with my spending on beauty products but I really want to dive even deeper into that mindset in 2019.

Without further ado, lets jump right in and talk about the products that I have loved the most this year! These are in no particular oder and I have loved each one of them equally throughout the year!

1. Sand & Sky Pink Clay Mask

I honestly can’t even contain my excitement for this mask. This mask has, hands down, made some of the most noticeable improvements in my skin this year. It has vastly helped lighten post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots from acne,) tightened my pores, gotten rid of excess oil and just made an incredible improvement on my skin. It contains Kakadu plum, licorice root extract, vitamin a and witch hazel amongst other incredible ingredients. Obsessed. Just finished my jar and I will 150% be purchasing another. I can’t be without it!

2 Charlotte Tilbury “Exaggereyes-Bigger Brighter Eyes” Palette

I have owned an embarrassing amount of eyeshadow palettes in my lifetime! I’ll be completely honest in saying that it does take a bit to impress me with a shadow palette these days. What I love about this palette is its simplicity and wearability. These shades are insanely flattering for so many skintones and eye colors. This is my go to travel palette because it’s neutral and you have every shade you need to create a complete, romantic eye look. Love!

3 La Mer Treatment Lotion

Oh, how I wish I didn’t adore this product. Correction…how my WALLET wishes I didn’t adore this product. I have completely fallen for the concept of the essence (watery lotion) in my skincare routine. You cleanse, you tone, you pat this delicious, watery lotion into your face and your skin literally drinks it up. If you’ve followed me for awhile, you’ll know that when I first got into skincare, I used solely La Mer products. These days, I’ve become more ingredient (and money) conscious but this product is the one La Mer product that is 100% worth the splurge. Not interested in shelling out the big bucks for a product? Not to worry! Caudalie and Hada Labo make beautiful ones as well that are easier on the bank account : )

4. Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color Lipsticks

There is something so satisfying about using these lipsticks. I think it has something to do with the balm-to-lipstick formula that feels absolutely weightless when applied. What I love about these beauties is that they are so versatile. I just recently took one of the brighter peach shades with me to the Sunshine Coast and did a super simple, bronzed skin and just mascara makeup look and used this lipstick to add a subtle pop of color to the lips. They are juicy, come in 22 shades and I just constantly find myself reaching for them. Another win from Bobbi’s team!

5 Frank Body Cleansing Oil

This product encompasses everything I love in a cleansing oil. Fragrance free, removes mascara, emulsifies with water (in case you don’t want to use a washcloth) and is housed in a pump packaging. The formula is simple, effective and the packaging is pink…so, clearly, you can’t go wrong with that!

6 Cerave PM moisturizer

I know I said that I’m not choosing favorites and I love each of these products equally…BUT this is my favorite find of 2018, lol. I would honestly choose this moisturizer over any other high end lotion or cream that I have in my collection (or that I’ve tried in the past.) The hero ingredient in this product is niacinamide (which I have become completely obsessed with this year.) Niacinamide brightens the skin, helps with enlarged pores, regulates oil production and has so many other incredible skin benefits. This product also contains hyaluronic acid and 3 different ceramides to help restore the skin barrier (particularly if it has been compromised.) I am just finishing up a bottle and already have 2 more on back up until my next visit home to America!

7 Kora Organics Noni Glow Eye Oil

This little beauty is your new perfect travel companion. I love how lightweight this oil is and how easily it glides around the orbital bone. The packaging is durable (not to mention adorable) and I find myself reaching for this oil almost every morning. Definitely a great find of the year!
