I woke up this morning and went straight to the kitchen to make a healthy breakfast and my beloved coffee. I opened the blinds, put my fresh flowers next to the window and lit a candle. I continued my morning routine in my sun drenched living room while sipping coffee and doing my daily journaling. What a beautiful way to start the day!
The amount of joy that a bunch of fresh roses brings me makes the $8-$10 splurge definitely worth it in my books. I am a firm believer in enjoying life’s little pleasures, whatever that may be! Everyone’s little pleasure will look different. For some it may be flowers or a cup of coffee from your favorite coffee shop. For others is could be a horseback riding lesson, a trip to the museum, a good book or even a decadent piece of triple chocolate cake (no guilt when it’s categorized as one of life’s little pleasures, right?)
When you indulge in something that brings you joy, allow it to bring you joy and forget the guilt. I feel like we are so focused on giving to others and making sure that everyone else is taken care of that we sometimes forget to give ourselves a little treat every now and then. At times, we may even feel guilty for spending money on flowers “just because” or on that new lip gloss that we’ve been eyeing for ages. If you have the funds and are able to have a small splurge, go ahead and treat yourself! When you receive that treat, really receive it. Spend time with it, enjoy it, thank the universe for allowing you to indulge in this goodie and continue on with your day. Simple!
So, my lovelies…what does your “little life pleasure” look like?! Let me know in the comments below and lets get talking about how we unapologetically treat ourselves!
You are enough!

I always put others first in the area of “giving” more than “receiving”. Now, I think its time to GIVE to me!
Thanks for ensuing that thought in my head!
So far, loving you and your creativity Carrie!

: ) You deserve it! Even just making myself a tea or buying a $2 face mask to indulge in…they all help!
