There is something so satisfying about trying out new skincare. There is something even more satisfying about trying out new skincare that is cruelty free, independently owned and contains some of your favorite skincare ingredients. I love partnering with brands whose ethics and viewpoints align seamlessly with my own which is why I’m so excited to bring you this post kindly sponsored by Bondi Chic.
Bondi Chic is an Australian brand based out of North Sydney, NSW. Their philosophy is basically a “natural meets scientific” approach which I absolutely love. I think one issue with skincare is that we can fall into the traps. We can begin thinking that skincare is only beneficial if it is “all natural” or, on the contrary, we can think that we should only be using scientific, synthetic ingredients. I consider myself an open minded woman and enjoy a bit of diversity in my life (and my skincare) so I definitely resonate with this approach.
Now that we know a bit about this ultra chic line, lets take a look at the goodies that they kindly sent over for me to experience. Spoiler alert-both contain niacinamide which you all know is my most recent love affair!
Four Seasons Bio Enzyme Essence/Serum
The essence step of my skincare routine has recently become my favorite step. I can’t believe I spent so many years not using an essence! If only I’d known what I was missing. The Bio Enzyme Essence certainly does not disappoint in this department. A few key ingredients include Kakadu Plum, caviar, sugar-free lemon enzyme, sodium hyaluronate (one of my personal favs,) glycolic acid and my hero ingredient, niacinamide.
The texture is lightweight, not at all tacky and feels like a watery serum. My favorite way to apply is to pour a few drops into my hands and gently pat into skin after cleansing and toning. This essence is fantastic if you have any dark spots (I’m talking to you, pesky little buggers left over from acne!) It contains so many brightening ingredients such as niacinamide, green tea and Kakadu Plum. It even has Manuka honey in there to give a bit of soothing. A few drop goes a long way and with a bottle containing 150 ml, this beauty will last you quite a long time. This bottle will continue having a prime position on my vanity in 2019!
Four Seasons Rejuven 8
As most of you know, I am not a fan of heavy creams. I have oily skin and a lot of times, if it’s thick enough to be housed in a jar, I steer clear. This cream is definitely an exception. I say cream loosely as it is more of a gel to cream texture. It has a super lightweight, airy texture and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It is a shea butter based moisturizer with many promising ingredients such as Kakadu Plum, caviar, Hyaluronic Acid, green tea, ceramides and niacinamide. I love the fact that this moisturizer contains ceramides and peptides which are fantastic for rebuilding the skin barrier. It doesn’t have fragrance, which I also deeply appreciate, and I have found it to work very well under makeup as it isn’t oily. It doesn’t contain silicone so I find that you do need to take just an extra moment to really work it into the skin but once applied, it does absorb quite well. Bonus-the packaging is ultra chic and looks absolutely gorgeous on the vanity so, you know…that’s always a plus. : )
I love experiencing new brands and Bondi Chic certainly didn’t disappoint. I look forward to trying more from the brand in the future! You can purchase their products here and jump onboard the A-beauty train!
